Thanks Rachel!

When you tell a friend you have much on your mind, and they listen, encourage, and pray for you, you have to know that God is working in your life!

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? "And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:25-34

Yes, I am and have been without a phone for about 9 days now, and I can't sugarcoat it, it's brutal! I must preface this by saying that Kristie's Bachelorette party is one for the books due to the following:

*Captain and Coke provided by Ms. Karsten (That girl throws one hell of a party!)
*Limo bus with complimentary stripper pole (Yikes!)
*3 Bar stops : MbarGo, The MiXX, Dirty Martini
*Reunion with all the Bronco girls + Rachel & Emmy! Oh what a night it was!

Now, that brings me to the next series of fun events. Zak and Nicole's visit to Chicago to take in the Jay Brannan concert at Schuba's with us, and the Billy Joel/ Elton John concert at Wrigley Field! These concerts were amazing! Jay Brannan is extremely talented, very witty, and of course untouchably good looking! We had a great visit over dinner at this Indian fusion restaurant on Southport called Coobah. We even tried their #1 dessert which was this delicious chocolate cake with bacon, yes bacon ice cream!

Rocket Man, Uptown Girl, We Didn't Start the Fire, Benny and the Jets, and Tiny Dancer filled the air in Chicago on Thursday evening and Jason and I were having a blast! My roommate offered us free tickets and we jumped on that immediately as the concert was sold out and tickets were ridiculously expensive! I'd say it was the best most expensive, free concert I've ever seen! The best part of the evening was when Billy Joel got out his harmonica and began to play Piano Man....and half way through the music stopped and 50,000 + people sang the chorus a cappella. It was amazing!

After that delicious concert we got back in the car and headed just an hour north of Grand Rapids! Of course we got stuck in traffic, but Jason took control and I passed out! We arrive at 10:30pm and the weekend can finally begin! There was alot of eating, sleeping, chatting, euchre playing, golf ball hitting, and smores...if there is a camp fire there has to be smores! We had a great time with Jason's buddies and didn't want to leave! Then we got back in the car to go home!

At 1:00AM Hookah sounded like a great idea...

The Friday before the 4th was yet another random evening full of good food, more 40's
on the cheap, new friends, and lots of picture ruining! (Jason!) We had dinner at Fifty/50, this great sports bar in Bucktown, and the night got away from us...so around 1 o'clock we decided to call it a night and headed toward the bus stop. On the way we decided to make some memories... Right before we got to the bus stop we found a Hookah Lounge and with a unanimous vote, in we went!

What is Hookah?

Wikipedia says : A hookah is a single or multi-stemmed (often glass-based) water pipe for smoking. Originally from India, hookah has gained immense popularity, especially in the Middle East and is gaining popularity in the USA, UK, Canada etc. The hookah operates by water filtration and indirect heat. It is used for smoking herbal fruits and tobacco.
It was a very fun experience and I will definitely be going back! We had Strawberry/Vanilla! We were there for about an hour and had some more laughs and then all parted ways...
I think next time I'd like to try Chocolate and Mint!
